Safety Management Systems within the physical logistics environment
Andy's session will look at recent research conducted, aimed to assess the advantages and disadvantages of achieving certification to a standard such as ISO 45001 and identification of trends.
The session will include a case study to reveal:
- How has Technology added value and what was the ROI
- How did this reduce our risk profile
- What did it lead to so far as safety performance
He will explore the future state of safety towards 2050 and how to make an impact.
About Andy:
Andy started his safety journey in 2002 after leaving the Royal Air Force, he has worked in several sectors in the UK such as Local Government, Public Transportation and Aviation as well as Electrical and Construction environments.
Since his move to Australia in 2011, Andy has worked in Broadcast Infrastructure, Telecommunications, Construction, FMCG and Data Centre environments with businesses such as Broadcast Australia and Microsoft.
Andy holds a MSc in EHS from the University of Greenwich and a BSc equivalent from City & Guilds in OHS.
Since 2020 Andy has sat on the Bureau Veritas Impartiality Committee for Australia and New Zealand and was an Executive Committee Member of the IOSH Singapore Branch from April 2021 until he stepped down in May 2023.
