Kendall Nicholas
Keynote | Building Cyber Resilience for the Digital Supply Chain of the Future
With insights on improving cyber maturity in the supply chain from world leading beverage company.
\In recent years, cyber risk has evolved to become one of the key risks on the minds of company directors and one that is consuming significant agenda time at board meetings. Cyber threats like ransomware, have become a particular concern to the resilience of manufacturing and logistics processes, as these organisations are often highly automated with limited capacity to run manually for a sustained period.
The next decade will also see further digitisation of supply chains as organisations adopt ‘smarter’ factories and warehouses. This promises significant productivity gains for leading organisations but will mean greater complexity of the technology landscape and attack surface (e.g. orders of magnitude more devices), and greater dependency on the resilience of technology.
In this talk - Kendall Nicholas will provide reflections from Lion’s cyber uplift journey in the supply chain and operational technology domains, along with her perspectives on the future of digital supply chain. Simon Gribble will complement this outlook by providing insights from Deloitte’s Cyber Incident Response work across many organisations in this industry, including common root causes of major incidents and the contributory factors which make managing an incident harder; key aspects of a successful program to improve cyber maturity. Simon will also share the insights from Deloitte’s recent global publication “Cyber security for smart factories: Tools for managing cyber threats to manufacturing.”
